Plays & Musicals

As well as lots of live comedy shows, sometimes with the brilliant Cicely Giddings, my stage writing includes the comedy play All The Single Ladies, which toured nationally, and additional material for the British Comedy Award nominated The Two Faces of Mitchell and Webb. My most recent comedy show was Abigail's Party with Dave Tozer at the Underbelly in 2017.

I love writing lyrics. I've written lots of comedy songs. In 2014 I wrote the book and lyrics for the musical Fabulous Creatures for the amazing Ruby Dolls. Here they are singing some stuff I wrote on Radio Scotland.

 

In 2019 I wrote and acted in His Name is John for a festival at the Canal Cafe Theatre, which I'm developing into my fourth play, called Mother Of God. I don't know why I'm telling you this as literally no one trawls through the internet thinking "I gotta find me a playwright!"

I really like acting in new writing. I find it restful when last minute re-writes are someone else's problem. I've performed in new work by Chinonyerem Odimba, Michelle Sewell, Madeleine Brettingham, Max Dickins and James Fritz.
